Overview

An industry-leading specialty metals manufacturer known for producing some of the highest quality premium steel products in the world is seeking a Quality Manager to lead its Quality Management System (QMS) for premium remelted products. This is a high-visibility leadership role within a technically advanced manufacturing environment where quality drives customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and product integrity.

What you'll do

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System for premium products
  • Manage external quality certifications and compliance requirements
  • Oversee internal and external audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Review and approve certified test reports
  • Drive customer-focused quality standards throughout the organization
  • Manage and mentor Quality Assurance personnel
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to strengthen quality systems and processes
  • Serve as Management Representative for the Premium Products QMS, ensuring compliance, effectiveness, and integrity
  • Report QMS performance metrics and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Support a culture centered around safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed

Required qualifications

  • Experience leading a Quality Management System within a metals manufacturing environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead teams and build strong working relationships across departments

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC leadership experience within metals manufacturing
  • Strong experience with premium remelted products including VAR and/or ESR processes preferred
  • Deep understanding of quality systems, audits, certifications, and corrective action processes
  • Strong work ethic with a continuous improvement mindset
