Overview

A well-established apparel company known for high-quality women’s and men’s clothing is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join its Women’s Wovens team. This role is central to ensuring garments meet brand standards for fit, construction, and quality across multiple manufacturing partners.

What you'll do

• Create detailed, accurate technical packages including construction notes, specs, and fit comments that align with brand requirements
• Ensure consistency in fit and construction across multiple factories
• Provide precise fit direction and specific pattern corrections to factories
• Apply strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing, and factory processes suited for high-end and mid-tier markets
• Participate in fit sessions with live models, proactively identifying and communicating fit issues and proposing solutions
• Manage fit corrections and construction adjustments throughout the development process

Required qualifications

• Experience with women's dresses and/or sportswear
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct fittings and manage workload independently
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills while handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Illustrator
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to work in the office 5 days per week

Preferred qualifications

• Patternmaking experience is a big plus
