Overview

A leading Southeast-based accounting and consulting firm offering assurance, tax, and advisory services is hiring a Tax Manager due to continued growth. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside professionals ranging from 1 to 40 years of experience, access to highly technical resources through an alliance with a top-tier CPA firm, and exposure to both large complex projects and local small business clients.

What you'll do

• Manage a group of clients and provide services in individual and business taxation
• Manage project deadlines and plan appropriately with associates and senior associates
• Coordinate with team members on all phases of the tax engagement
• Review mostly business (and some individual) tax returns and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Provide high-level client service
• Stay current on tax law changes and accounting-related developments and best practices
• Collaborate with team members on continual process improvement
• Participate in practice development and various firm activities
• Develop an area of tax specialization

Required qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years' experience in public accounting reviewing both individual and business taxation

Preferred qualifications

• CPA or EA in progress preferred
