Location: Greater Milwaukee, WI (Brown Deer area) | Schedule: Full-time, on-site; choice of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, Monday – Friday | Compensation: Up to $38.00/hour + shift differentials + performance bonuses
Overview
An established, market-leading manufacturer in the Greater Milwaukee area is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to keep its automated production lines, robotic cells, and high-speed processing equipment running at peak performance. What you'll do
- Perform real-time mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics on automated machinery, processing lines, and robotic cells
- Interface with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs to trace I/O faults, isolate software/hardware errors, and clear production stoppages
- Read complex electrical blueprints, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings to perform emergency repairs and preventative maintenance
- Service, rebuild, and optimize pneumatics, including valves, cylinders, regulators, and distribution lines
- Work with AC/DC industrial power systems, electric motors, VFDs, sensors, and low-voltage control circuits
- Perform light structural welding, torching, and metal fabrication to adapt or repair production equipment
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience with high-speed production machinery, custom automation, or heavy industrial equipment
- Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC fault-tracing and basic navigation/I/O monitoring
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and pneumatics/hydraulic fluid power diagrams
- Experience with AC/DC electrical systems up to 480V
- Stable work history with strong attendance and safety record
- Must reside within a 45-minute daily commute of Greater Milwaukee, WI
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with FANUC, ABB, or Yaskawa robotic arms, teach pendants, or end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
- Welding certifications or strong MIG/TIG welding proficiency
- Exposure to thermal imaging, vibration analysis, or CMMS platforms
