Overview
A physician-led outpatient medical group with multiple locations across Long Island is seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner. This is a 100% outpatient role based in Coram, NY, offered as part time or full time with flexible hours Monday–Friday and no call.
What you'll do
- Serve as a key clinical provider delivering high-quality patient care
- Provide direct outpatient primary care, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management
- Refer patients to appropriate specialty services as needed
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams for seamless patient care
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines
- Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Contribute to building a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth goals
What you'll need
- BSN and MSN from an accredited nursing school
- NYS RN and NP license, BLS, Board Certified
- Training in Internal Medicine
- 8+ years of experience as a NP
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented, patient-centered approach to care
- Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus
Compensation and benefits
