Overview
An established manufacturer of advanced resin and polymer technologies, serving industries such as automotive, construction, electronics, and consumer products, is seeking a Production/Quality Engineer for one of its U.S. facilities. This is a hands-on role at a smaller site, ideal for someone earlier in their career who wants to build a well-rounded skillset and help shape the site's quality systems from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Perform day-to-day quality work in the lab and collaborate with plant personnel on root-cause analysis and corrective action planning and execution
- Participate in rebuilding and improving the facility's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Participate in and help lead the development of a Statistical Process Control (SPC) program
- Optimize tracking and reporting of quality metrics and support the Management of Change (MOC) process
Required qualifications
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of post-college experience in the chemical industry
- Experience working in a PSM-regulated manufacturing plant
- Solid understanding of what strong quality systems look like within chemical manufacturing
Preferred qualifications
- Six Sigma green belt and/or black belt is a huge plus
