Overview

A prominent, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New Jersey office, supporting a Metropolitan New York commercial litigation practice. This in-office role, based in Florham Park, NJ, is ideal for a New Jersey–based litigator who wants high-level New York commercial litigation work without the daily Manhattan commute.

What you'll do

  • Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across New Jersey and New York
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows
  • Support all phases of case management, including strategy development and trial preparation
  • Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high-profile clients

What you'll need

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in New Jersey AND New York, in good standing
  • 4–6 years of substantive commercial litigation experience
  • Prior federal or state judicial clerkship strongly preferred
  • Law review/journal experience preferred
  • Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation a plus, but not required
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage complex matters, work collaboratively within a team, and operate independently on client assignments
  • Outstanding communication skills and a strong commitment to client service

Compensation and benefits

  • Expected annual salary range of $175,000-$185,000, as determined by experience and market factors
  • Eligibility for profit-sharing and a discretionary bonus
