Overview

A growing multi-site healthcare provider in the home health, home care and hospice space is seeking an experienced Human Resources and Payroll Manager. This hands-on HR leadership role supports compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, HR systems and confidential employee records across multiple locations, making it central to the organization's day-to-day workforce operations.

What you'll do

• Support adherence to federal, state and local employment laws and healthcare program requirements, including HR-related regulatory standards and employment practices
• Maintain audit readiness through employee-file reviews, credentialing support, background checks, exclusion/sanction screening and documentation controls
• Maintain and support HR policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational needs
• Guide managers and employees through employee relations matters, coaching, workplace concerns, investigations and conflict resolution
• Lead full-cycle payroll, timekeeping, wage calculations, audits, benefit administration, invoice reconciliation, leave/COBRA/ACA support and compensation-related reporting
• Maintain and optimize HRIS/payroll systems, including ADP, and coordinate HR data with healthcare operating platforms and leadership reporting
• Maintain secure employee records and handle sensitive employee, compliance, payroll and benefits information with discretion
• Support workforce planning, recruiting strategies, job posting, onboarding, credential verification, hiring compliance, time-to-fill improvement and early new-hire retention

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience with compliance, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and employment law
• Experience supporting multi-site settings within home health, home care and/or hospice
• Proficiency with ADP and Microsoft Office
• Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record
• Sound judgment and discretion with confidential and sensitive employee information
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train, coach and support leaders and staff at multiple levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites and work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, employee relations and conflict resolution

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred
