Overview
A well-regarded hospital located in a peaceful rural area of east central Ohio, offering easy access to nearby urban amenities, is seeking a skilled Ultrasonographer to join its Heart and Vascular Diagnostics team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality cardiovascular diagnostic services and supporting the hospital's mission of exceptional patient care.
What you'll do
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and/or vascular exams on patients in an efficient and compassionate manner to support accurate diagnosis of medical conditions
- Evaluate exam results for diagnostic quality using sound professional judgment
- Conduct invasive procedures such as ultrasound-guided biopsies as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, including handling stress echo orders from cardiologists marked "due today" or "stat" during weekend shifts
- Report to the Manager of Heart and Vascular Diagnostics and collaborate with a team of approximately 20 other sonographers
Required qualifications
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the appropriate specialty
- RDCS or RVT designation
- Demonstrated competence in all diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including invasive exams such as ultrasound-guided biopsies
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with stress echo and TEE preferred
- Pediatric experience is a plus
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly rate of $33.88 for new graduates; $35.50-$47.75/hr based on experience for those with 1+ year of experience
