Overview

An MEP consulting engineering firm is opening a new office in Austin, Texas and has more project work in the market than it can currently staff. The firm is employee-owned, promotes from within, and is seeking a licensed electrical engineer to join as the first electrical design hire in this new location. The work centers on life science, clean room, and industrial facility design, and the firm trains engineers on the specifics of these environments, so prior background in these sectors is not required. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build out the Austin team before leadership roles are filled.

What you'll do

• Perform electrical design for life science, clean room, and industrial facility projects across the firm's Austin workload
• Coordinate with the local controls team
• Conduct field work and maintain direct client contact as a regular part of the role
• Collaborate on shared projects with the firm's other offices

Required qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Professional Engineer
• Curious mindset and eagerness to keep learning
• Able to contribute to and work within a team of engineers across the firm's offices
