Overview

A vertically integrated manufacturer with a long-established presence in Central New York is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its embedded hardware team. The company designs, prototypes, tests, and produces its products entirely in-house, serving a growing customer base across a broad range of applications. This role offers the chance to work across a wide technical spectrum, from basic components to integrated chips and RF modules, within a collaborative and supportive engineering culture.

What you'll do

  • Design, test, and improve embedded electronic controls
  • Collaborate on new product development from concept through production
  • Create and review electrical schematics
  • Evaluate test plans, perform peer reviews, and ensure product reliability
  • Lead troubleshooting to the component level for production and service support
  • Participate in cross-functional project management and continuous improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and development
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, microcontrollers, and component-level troubleshooting

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Altium or OrCAD preferred

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary range: $140,000-$160,000
