Overview
A service-oriented public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead attest engagements across manufacturing, retail, and distribution clients. This role is central to the firm's audit practice, overseeing planning, execution, reporting, and staff development while working closely with executive leadership and operational departments.
What you'll do
- Direct field work on financial statement audits and accounting engagements
- Monitor progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates
- Supervise and review engagement planning
- Review and assess completed audits
- Train, monitor, and evaluate audit staff
- Analyze financial data, records, reports, and statements
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk
- Manage resources and audit assignments
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in auditing
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain substantial client contact
- No overnight travel required
