Location: Arlington, TX | Schedule: Full-time, field-based (mobile store route)

Overview

A long-established, family-owned distributor of industrial hardware operates mobile stores that bring a full range of products directly to customers across sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. The company is seeking a Route Sales Manager to run a fully stocked mobile store within a defined territory, building relationships and driving sales through direct, face-to-face service.

What you'll do

• Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calls on businesses near existing customers
• Make face-to-face calls on both cold and warm sales prospects
• Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store itself
• Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store
• Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls
• Continually maintain customer contact information—including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses—using company software

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must reside within the assigned territory
• Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
• Strong, tenured work history with no job hopping; ideally a maximum of 3 companies over the past 10 years
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment

Preferred qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales
