Overview
A prominent large law firm is seeking a skilled Associate or Counsel Attorney to join its Private Client Services Practice Group, based in New York City, with a hybrid work arrangement available. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with high-net-worth individuals on sophisticated trust and estate matters within a collaborative, growth-oriented practice.
What you'll do
- Advise high-net-worth clients on trust and estate matters, including estate planning, tax strategies, and administration
- Draft complex wills and trusts tailored to client needs
- Manage estate administration from probate through final closing, ensuring compliance with tax filings and legal requirements
- Prepare client presentations and conduct tax calculations and analyses
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to deliver high-quality client service
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
- Pennsylvania Bar Admission or ability to waive in
- LL.M. with a strong tax background required
- 5+ years of substantive law firm experience in estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals
- Demonstrated drafting and estate administration skills, including experience with complex wills and trusts
- Proficiency in preparing client presentations, tax calculations, and estate administration from probate through closing
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage client contact
- Supervisory skills to direct paralegals in a collaborative environment

Compensation and benefits
- Annual salary range of $285,000–$395,000, commensurate with experience and market factors
