Overview

A prominent large law firm is seeking a talented attorney to join its Private Client Services Practice Group in New York City. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals on complex trust and estate matters while developing expertise in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What you'll do

  • Advise high-net-worth clients on trust and estate matters, including estate planning, tax strategies, and administration
  • Draft complex wills and trusts tailored to client needs
  • Manage the administration of estates from probate through final closing, ensuring all tax filings and legal requirements are met
  • Prepare client presentations and conduct tax calculations and analyses
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to deliver superior client service

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
  • New York Bar Admission or the ability to waive in
  • LL.M. and strong tax background required
  • 5-7 years of substantive law firm experience in estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals
  • Demonstrated drafting and estate administration skills, including experience with complex wills and trusts
  • Proficiency in preparing client presentations, tax calculations and analysis, and administering estates from probate through closing
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage client contact
  • Supervisory skills to direct paralegals in a collaborative environment
