Overview
A home care services provider is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, in-home patient care that helps improve patients' lives in the comfort of their own residences. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients under physician orders, using a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, relieve pain, and improve movement and function. This role also collaborates as part of an interdisciplinary care team, providing support and expertise within the physical therapy discipline.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and treat patients under physician orders using appropriate therapeutic techniques
- Design and implement treatment plans to restore muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment
- Work to relieve pain and improve patient movement and function
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing support and information related to physical therapy
- Perform field-based visits to patients' homes
- Communicate effectively with staff members in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Required qualifications
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy program
- Current license as a Physical Therapist in the State of practice
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Ability to present a negative TB test and other tests as required by agency policy
- Ability to perform field work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning, organization, and presentation skills
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction
- Ability to communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Good health and ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications
- Home care experience preferred
