Overview

A community health center is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to deliver comprehensive primary care to children and adolescents (birth through age 19). This role is based in the Greater Sacramento, CA area, with multiple locations available, and offers the chance to serve a diverse, underserved population within a collaborative, mission-driven team.

What you'll do

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management
  • Perform thorough histories and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
  • Prescribe medications and manage age-appropriate therapies
  • Provide developmental, behavioral, and preventive care services
  • Deliver culturally competent patient and family education
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations as needed
  • Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care
  • Review and respond to clinical messages, labs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation and billing in the electronic health record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education

What you'll need

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • 2+ years of post-residency experience; no new grads
  • Experience managing pediatric preventive care, acute and chronic conditions, and developmental/behavioral concerns
  • Familiarity with clinical quality measures (HRSA core measures, HEDIS, PCMH) preferred
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license
  • Community health center or FQHC experience preferred
  • Comfortable treating three patients per hour
  • EPIC experience
  • In-basket management competency
  • Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred

Compensation and benefits

  • Compensation: $231,000 – $300,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4-day (10-hour shift available)
  • Location: Sacramento, CA (multiple locations available in the greater area)
