Overview
An established manufacturing organization is seeking an NX Designer 1 to support engineering and manufacturing operations through precise 3D modeling and drafting. This role plays a key part in ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability across mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and vendor teams. US Citizenship is required for this onsite position.
What you'll do
- Create and review mechanical drawings, verifying completed work, dimensions, materials, and quantities with appropriate personnel
- Perform mechanical modeling using NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter
- Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter
- Create and revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards
- Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing
- Act as liaison with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Liaise with vendors as required
- Apply basic GD&T knowledge in modeling and drawing review
- Perform related duties as assigned or required
Required qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- Experience utilizing Siemens NX/CATIA CAD tools or applicable 3D CAD systems
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and its application
- Experience with NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter
- Familiarity with ASME modeling and drawing standards
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows and NX 1946 as required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under schedule pressure with patience
Compensation and benefits
- Pay rate: $30-35/hr W2 (equivalent to a $30,000-$35,000 range)
- 12 month contract
