Overview
A prominent international law firm is seeking a talented mid to senior-level Associate Attorney to join its premier Labor & Employment Group, supporting the California practice in Los Angeles and San Francisco. This role offers the opportunity to represent sophisticated employers in complex labor and employment disputes, with a particular focus on wage and hour class actions, while collaborating with a nationally recognized team.
What you'll do
- Handle complex employment litigation matters, including the defense of wage & hour claims and wage & hour class actions
- Draft and refine pleadings, motions, class certification briefs, and related filings
- Participate in trials and contribute to trial preparation work
- Manage and oversee discovery, including written discovery, document review, and deposition preparation
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys across the firm's CA offices to develop litigation strategies
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on evolving class action issues
- Maintain clear, client-ready communication and deliver practical guidance
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
- 3–5 years of substantive employment litigation experience
- Extensive experience defending wage & hour claims, including class action lawsuits
- Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality, strategic work product
- Experience drafting key legal documents and managing discovery
- Desire for trial work
- Ability to work efficiently within a team-focused, high-performance environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong professional relationships
Compensation and benefits
- Expected annual base salary range: $250,000-$310,000, as determined by experience and market factors
