Overview

A prominent large law firm is expanding its Labor and Employment Class Action Practice Group and seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to help litigate high-stakes, high-profile employment class action matters. This is a chance to join a collaborative team working on innovative legal theories shaping the future of class action law.

What you'll do

  • Litigate a variety of high-profile class action cases, with a particular focus on labor and employment class actions
  • Develop case strategies and provide support throughout all aspects of litigation, from discovery to trial
  • Draft workplace policies
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on complex legal issues
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality legal solutions
  • Maintain direct client relationships and manage case teams effectively

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing
  • 4-6 years of substantive experience in complex litigation with a focus on employment related and/or class actions
  • Extensive experience defending class action lawsuits, including employment discrimination, workplace privacy, and EEOC/DOL matters
  • Experience with wage and hour claims, statutory or common law privacy issues
  • Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment issues
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to tackle cutting-edge legal issues
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills
  • Submission of cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample required for consideration
