Overview
A prominent large law firm is expanding its Labor and Employment Class Action Practice Group and seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to help litigate high-stakes, high-profile employment class action matters. This is a chance to join a collaborative team working on innovative legal theories shaping the future of class action law.
What you'll do
- Litigate a variety of high-profile class action cases, with a particular focus on labor and employment class actions
- Develop case strategies and provide support throughout all aspects of litigation, from discovery to trial
- Draft workplace policies
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on complex legal issues
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality legal solutions
- Maintain direct client relationships and manage case teams effectively
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing
- 4-6 years of substantive experience in complex litigation with a focus on employment related and/or class actions
- Extensive experience defending class action lawsuits, including employment discrimination, workplace privacy, and EEOC/DOL matters
- Experience with wage and hour claims, statutory or common law privacy issues
- Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment issues
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to tackle cutting-edge legal issues
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Submission of cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample required for consideration
