Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Kansas City Metro, MO (east) | Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Overview
A respected hospice care provider is seeking a full-time Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver skilled, compassionate care to patients nearing end of life. This nurse will support symptom management, monitor changes in patient condition, educate patients and families, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality, dignified care.
What you'll do
- Provide direct nursing care to hospice patients in home and facility settings
- Assess patient needs and monitor symptoms, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
- Educate and support patients and families regarding symptom management and end-of-life care
- Communicate changes and concerns promptly to the RN and interdisciplinary care team
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current LPN license valid for practice in Missouri
- Current driver's license
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile liability insurance
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
