Overview
Our client is a leading precision medicine and genomic diagnostics organization offering a comprehensive testing portfolio spanning oncology, rare disease, infectious disease, and reproductive health. The company is seeking an Account Executive – Genomics & Rare Disease to drive regional growth and expand its market presence across the Pacific Northwest, engaging pediatric hospitals, academic medical centers, and healthcare systems with advanced genomic testing solutions that support earlier, more accurate diagnosis of rare diseases.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement strategic territory plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, hospital administrators, and key decision-makers
- Apply a consultative, science-driven sales approach to position genomic testing solutions
- Conduct market analysis and share insights on trends, competition, and emerging opportunities
- Manage territory data, pipeline, and forecasting within Salesforce CRM
- Deliver scientific presentations, webinars, and product demonstrations to clinical audiences
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, and operations to support customer success
- Provide field intelligence and feedback to inform product development and market strategy
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field)
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in clinical genomics, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine
- Proven track record selling into pediatric hospitals or academic medical centers
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and a data-driven approach to territory management
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and own regional strategy
- Ability to travel up to 50%
