Overview

A mission-driven academic outpatient healthcare organization with an affiliated Family Medicine residency program is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty Physician (MD/DO). This role blends direct patient care with teaching, supervision, and mentorship of family medicine residents across the full scope of practice, including obstetrics, within a collaborative academic setting alongside residents, faculty colleagues, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

What you'll do

• Provide direct patient care in a family medicine continuity clinic
• Supervise and mentor family medicine residents in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Precept residents regularly, supporting clinical skill development and patient management
• Participate in clinical sessions (3–4 half-days per week) with integrated resident supervision
• Provide inpatient attending coverage for family medicine services several times per year
• Perform and supervise family medicine procedures, including obstetrics as applicable
• Participate in resident education through didactics, curriculum development, and advising
• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and academic program development
• Collaborate with faculty, residents, and interdisciplinary clinical teams
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across preventive, acute, and chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical and academic standards

Required qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active state medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Experience or strong interest in teaching and resident supervision
• Comfort practicing the full scope of family medicine, including obstetrics
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
• Commitment to serving diverse patient populations and community-based care
