Overview
An established manufacturer with a long operating history and steady growth is seeking a Fabrication Associate to join its sheet metal production team. What you'll do
- Form, fit, and assemble heavy-duty sheet metal machinery and structural systems as part of a high-efficiency production team
- Use rulers, tape measures, and layout tools daily to verify raw material and finished component dimensions to exact fractional specifications
- Safely handle, position, and load raw sheet metal stock into staging areas while maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- Cross-train across multiple manufacturing stations to build versatility in operating different fabrication equipment
- Work with team leadership to inspect completed components and ensure they meet quality, structural, and safety standards
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable experience in a sheet metal manufacturing, punching, or custom metal fabrication environment
- Strong proficiency reading tape measures and rulers to perform accurate layout work down to precise fractions
- 2+ years of continuous physical labor history demonstrating work ethic, stamina, and reliability
- Solid work history showing consistent attendance, long-term commitment, and dedication to safety and quality
- Ability to reliably commute daily to Richfield, WI
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience setting up or operating hydraulic press brakes, metal shears, or punch presses
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical assembly drawings or fabrication schematics
- Hands-on experience with angle grinders, sanders, or deburring tools for metal finishing
Compensation and benefits
- $22.00 – $24.00/hour starting rate
