Overview
An acute care hospital in Florence, AL is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead its Emergency Services department. This is a key leadership role for a dynamic nursing professional committed to excellence in patient care and operational management, responsible for driving strategic initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment to elevate emergency services delivery.
What you'll do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Services department
- Develop and implement innovative programs to improve patient outcomes and ensure cost-effective care
- Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to enhance clinical performance and patient experience
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and advance quality improvement initiatives
- Lead recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts for providers and staff
- Oversee staff education, competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current or eligible for Alabama RN licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Emergency Services
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build effective relationships
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in an acute care setting
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and performance-improvement initiatives
- BLS and ACLS certification required (or obtainable within a defined timeframe)
