Location: Miles City, Montana | Schedule: Full-time, on-site (two shifts available: day shift 4-9hour shifts, 7am-6pm, or evenings/nights 4-10hr shifts, 7pm-5am; both include rotating on call and weekends) | Compensation: $63,400 ($30.49/hr) to $95,000 ($45/hr), plus full benefits and a relocation/sign-on package
Overview
A progressive rural healthcare organization located in the picturesque Badlands of Eastern Montana is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team. This 25 bed critical access hospital is committed to building healthcare teams whose care exceeds the expectations of their patients and community, and offers a supportive environment for career growth, including the opportunity to expand into mammography.
What you'll do
- Operate specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of human anatomy that aid radiologists in diagnosing diseases and disorders
- Assist physicians and radiologists during examinations by administering or providing contrast media and supporting procedures as needed
- Identify and greet patients, verify identity, check physician and work orders, explain examinations, and position patients according to established protocols
- Prepare and operate CT equipment using proper radiation protection and precautions
- Report any unusual concerns, situations, or conditions to the Modality Lead, Imaging Medical Director, or direct report
- Assist with stocking and cleaning exam rooms daily and maintain adequate inventory of required supplies
- Perform clerical and image management tasks, including completing paperwork and properly identifying exams for PACS storage and review
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance studies
- Assist the supervising radiologist with administrative functions
- Enforce radiation safety principles
Required qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state, with registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified to perform Mammography or willing to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
- Current BLS certification
Preferred qualifications
- One year of previous experience preferred
Compensation and benefits
- Pay range of $63,400 ($30.49/hr) to $95,000 ($45/hr)
