Overview

A precision manufacturing company specializing in injection mold building, repair, and tooling support is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer. This role is central to producing close-tolerance mold components and supporting a quality-driven Tool Room team that serves demanding production customers.

What you'll do

• Program complex 3-axis toolpaths using Mastercam for mold components and electrodes
• Use SolidWorks to interpret models and prepare geometry for programming
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines including Mikron Mill S 500 and Haas VM2
• Perform hard milling and high-speed machining on hardened tool steels
• Manufacture precision graphite electrodes for EDM processes
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine cleanliness
• Collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure manufacturability and accuracy
• Follow company and OSHA safety policies

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming
• Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD files (SolidWorks preferred)
• Hands-on CNC mill setup and operation experience
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and feeds/speeds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 40 lbs or more

Preferred qualifications

• Experience running Mikron Mill S 500 and/or Haas VM2
• Experience with hard milling or high-speed machining
• Experience machining hardened tool steels and graphite
• Exposure to mold making or Tool Room environments
