CNC Machinist/Programmer – Injection Mold

Overview
A precision manufacturing company specializing in injection mold building, repair, and tooling support is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer. This role is central to producing close-tolerance mold components and supporting a quality-driven Tool Room team that serves demanding production customers.
What you'll do
- Program complex 3-axis toolpaths using Mastercam for mold components and electrodes
- Use SolidWorks to interpret models and prepare geometry for programming
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines including Mikron Mill S 500 and Haas VM2
- Perform hard milling and high-speed machining on hardened tool steels
- Manufacture precision graphite electrodes for EDM processes
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools
- Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine cleanliness
- Collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure manufacturability and accuracy
- Follow company and OSHA safety policies
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in Mastercam for CNC programming
- Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD files (SolidWorks preferred)
- Hands-on CNC mill setup and operation experience
- Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and feeds/speeds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 40 lbs or more
Preferred qualifications
- Experience running Mikron Mill S 500 and/or Haas VM2
- Experience with hard milling or high-speed machining
- Experience machining hardened tool steels and graphite
- Exposure to mold making or Tool Room environments
