Location: Gratiot, OH | Schedule: full time, on-site (day and evening shifts, weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays) | Compensation: $27.25hr(56K)-$37.53hr(77K), depending on experience

Overview

A well-regarded hospital system in a rural east-central Ohio setting is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to join its growing behavioral health program. This role offers the chance to provide meaningful, patient-centered mental health care across inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

What you'll do

  • Conduct therapy assessments and facilitate group and individual therapy for inpatient psychiatric adult, child, and adolescent patients
  • Complete documentation accurately, competently, and within specified time frames
  • Cross train as appropriate to credentials, licensure, scope of practice, and department need
  • Complete assessments to determine patient strengths and needs, and complete daily charges
  • Actively and competently participate in team meetings, remaining patient-focused, and delegate tasks to Mental Health Technicians as necessary
  • Complete the daily patient therapy schedule in a timely and competent manner
  • Consistently meet established department productivity expectations
  • Provide group therapy in Outpatient Behavioral Health as needed
  • Conduct group therapies across a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses, ages, and developmental functioning
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary medical model treatment team
  • Provide behavioral health/substance use disorder groups and individual therapies in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
  • Work with adult, geriatric, and adolescent clients within an innovative and growing behavioral health program
  • Support inpatient, outpatient, and residential behavioral health settings
  • Participate in Crisis Prevention Intervention/Aggression Management System training
  • Utilize workplace safety resources including onsite Public Safety and the Real Time Locating System (RTLS)
  • Contribute to a full continuum of mental health services
  • Exercise autonomy in developing therapeutic interventions to meet patient needs
  • Report to the Director and collaborate closely with the team

Required qualifications

  • License, registration, and/or certification appropriate to the field
  • Bachelor's degree in a mental health field such as art, recreational, or counseling therapy (P.C., P.C.C.), Social Work (LSW, LISW), or music therapy (MTA)
  • Skills to provide mental health care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate for the age group served
  • Knowledge of DSM-V diagnosis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate working with various multidisciplinary team members
  • Position is full time

Compensation and benefits

  • Pay range of $27.25hr(56K)-$37.53hr(77K), depending on years of experience
