Overview

A community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia is seeking an experienced Urologist to join its established physician group. This is an opportunity to deliver comprehensive urologic care while mentoring medical students and residents in a collaborative academic setting.

What you'll do

• Provide full-scope urologic care, splitting time evenly between clinic and operating room
• Treat kidney stones using ESWL, Holmium, and Thulium lasers
• Manage erectile dysfunction through implants and medications
• Perform prostate enlargement therapies including FUROLIT, Rezum, Aquablation, TURP, and HoLEP
• Diagnose and manage urinary tract infections and urological cancers using advanced techniques such as MRI fusion and biopsies
• Perform procedures including vasectomies, male slings, cystoscopies, urodynamics, and ultrasound
• Work weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM
• Participate in a call schedule of 7 days per month, with additional compensation for extra call duty
• Mentor medical students and residents as part of the hospital's teaching mission

Required qualifications

• Completion or near completion of a Urology residency program
• Board-certified or board-eligible, with certification required within 5 years
• Active Georgia Medical License or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
• No visa sponsorship is offered for this position
