Location: Peoria, IL | Schedule: Full-time, field-based within assigned territory
Overview
Our client is a long-established, family-owned industrial products company that brings a fully stocked mobile store directly to customers across sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. They are seeking a Territory Manager to grow sales within a defined geographic territory by delivering industrial hardware solutions directly to customers.
What you'll do
- Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calls on businesses near existing customers
- Make face-to-face calls on cold and warm sales prospects
- Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and your mobile store
- Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of your mobile store
- Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls
- Continually maintain customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must reside within the assigned territory; relocation is not available
- Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
- Must maintain a clean driving history
- Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
- Strong tenured work history, with no more than 3 companies over the past 10 years
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment
Preferred qualifications
- Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales, is preferred
