Overview

An established RV dealership is seeking a Parts Department Manager to oversee all aspects of its parts operation. This role is essential to keeping customers' recreational vehicles serviced and ready, minimizing downtime during the camping season.

What you'll do

• Manage profit and loss for the Parts Department
• Maintain customer profiles to ensure smooth transitions between departments
• Maintain proper parts inventory levels
• Proactively order needed parts
• Document all parts accurately on work orders for billing
• Update bin checks, cycle counts, and inventory records in the computer system
• Communicate delays and progress with internal and external customers
• Return phone calls, emails, and texts promptly
• Track lost sales and back-orders
• Retrieve, document, and process all warranty parts in a timely fashion
• Organize the department so parts are easily identifiable and accessible
• Pre-pull parts proactively for upcoming jobs
• Meet with the Service Advisor/Manager to review the schedule a few days in advance
• Unload and process shipments properly
• Ensure parts pricing supports a healthy margin
• Replenish parts inventory proactively
• Keep obsolete inventory to a minimum
• Keep parts secure

Required qualifications

• Elite leadership skills
• At least 2 years of experience in a management position at a RV Dealer
• Passion for camping and the great outdoors
• Strong honesty and integrity
• Flexibility to adapt when plans change
