Overview
Our client is an employee-owned, integrated design firm in the Greater Boston area, where architects and engineers collaborate side by side on the same projects rather than handing work back and forth. Because the firm is owned by the people who work there, this role comes with an ownership stake rather than just a paycheck. The position has opened up as the firm's senior civil engineer prepares to retire after serving as the technical anchor and mentor for the group, and the firm is looking for someone to step into that same role: a technical expert and natural teacher.
What you'll do
- Lead site design from concept through construction documents on land-development and building projects
- Design and direct stormwater management and utility systems
- Prepare site permitting applications and supporting reports at the local, state, and federal levels
- Issue documents for construction and remain involved through construction administration
- Mentor project staff and lead internal quality reviews across disciplines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's in civil engineering
- PE license
- 10+ years in site and land development design
- Command of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD
- A desire to be the technical resource the team relies on
