Overview
A community healthcare organization serving the Central Washington region is seeking a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) to join its Pediatrics department. The area offers four seasons, 330-plus days of sunshine, a large freshwater lake, and a community of about 25,000 residents, with the facility serving a regional population of roughly 77,000. This role is key to ensuring smooth patient workflow and high-quality care for pediatric patients.
What you'll do
- Assist providers and clinical team members with back-office and patient-related tasks to support smooth patient workflow
- Perform patient care procedures within scope of practice as defined by the facility under Washington State certification, which may include injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws
- Measure patient vital signs and manage rooming and patient flow
- Handle pre-visit preparation, assist with the patient visit, and complete post-visit duties
- Inform the provider of schedule changes that impact patient flow
- Report to the Director
Required qualifications
- Active license in the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Certified (national certifications must still become credentialed through the WA State Department of Health)
- 1 year of prior Medical Assistant experience required, including experience working in Pediatrics
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems
- Current Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR certification

Compensation and benefits
- full time position, 1 opening in Pediatrics, hours 7:45am-5:15pm
- Pay range of $21hr-$35.50hr depending on experience
- Shift differentials: $2.10hr evenings, $3hr nights, $2.25hr weekends
