Industrial Maintenance Technician III – V, 2nd & 3rd shift

Location: Columbus, OH | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd & 3rd shift | Compensation: $30.28 per hour

Overview

A tier-one automotive supplier specializing in the design and production of lighting equipment, accessories, and electronic components is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its Ohio manufacturing facility. This role supports production engineering and equipment reliability across a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment, offering a strong path to grow mechanical and technical skills into a rewarding maintenance career.

What you'll do

  • Support manufacturing operations by participating in PDCA countermeasure activity and working on task board items
  • Ensure maintenance area cleanliness meets expectations and complete all assigned preventive maintenance (PMs)
  • Identify and repair equipment problems and implement countermeasures based on requests from senior technicians and management
  • Document repair and maintenance activity in the work order tracking system
  • Assist senior technicians and engineers with team projects and daily maintenance/repair duties to ensure machine reliability
  • Interact with line associates to understand problems and communicate the resources needed to resolve them

Required qualifications

  • 2 Years OJT in maintenance or engineering fields (minimum)
  • 2 Year or 4 Year degree in a technical field (in lieu of OJT experience)
  • Basic or entry-level industrial maintenance knowledge
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electronic power controls and safety circuits, and integrated circuit schematic and tracing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotics, pneumatics, PLC, and robot systems
  • Ability to identify and repair technical problems relating to equipment operation using visual, mechanical, and electrical tools (drills, minor fabrication, multimeters, power supplies, robot teach pendants, etc.)
  • Ability to interact with line associates to understand problems and communicate the required resources needed to complete the task at hand
  • Hand/robotic soldering experience
  • Lean Manufacturing training

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Works in a manufacturing environment 8 hours per day, with exposure to equipment, electric shock, conveyors, and chemicals, and approximately 4 hours per day bending

Preferred qualifications

  • Electrical and mechanical circuit diagram/Bill of Material experience

Compensation and benefits

  • $30.28 per hour
