Location: Early Branch, SC | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: Base salary up to $110k, depending on experience

Overview

A commercial laundry and linen service operation near Charleston and Hilton Head is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance department. This role is critical to keeping industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently, while building and mentoring a strong maintenance team.

What you'll do

• Champion safety as the top priority, ensuring a safe working environment and protection of company assets
• Oversee proper maintenance, preventive maintenance (PMs), repairs, and installations on all plant equipment
• Supervise, direct, coordinate, and assign daily work schedules to ensure team accountability
• Develop and implement computerized methods, control systems, and procedures for a fully operational preventive maintenance program, parts stockroom, and inventory system
• Monitor and ensure efficient use of utilities, practicing energy conservation through usage reduction and cost control
• Recommend and communicate capital expenditure, equipment, parts, supplies, and materials needs to senior management

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with knowledge of machinery, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder and boiler applications
• Lead or supervisory experience required
• A preventive maintenance mindset with experience managing a PM program in this or a similar industry
• Electrical troubleshooting ability
• PLC programming experience
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs
• A team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; a self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement

Preferred qualifications

• Management experience is preferred
• Commercial laundry experience is preferred; similar manufacturing industries also accepted
