Overview
A school dedicated to supporting children with disabilities is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for its Bronx, NY location. This role plays a key part in helping students build essential motor, sensory, and daily living skills through individualized, goal-driven therapy. New grads are welcome to apply.
What you'll do
- Review IEPs and implement targeted goals
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports, including IEP updates
- Assess student needs and develop individualized implementation plans
- Strengthen fine motor skills through targeted interventions
- Differentiate instruction to meet each student's unique needs
- Design plans and utilize equipment to support daily living skills
- Improve visual, auditory, sensory, and perceptual functioning
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid New York state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Preferred qualifications
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
