Overview
A structural engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to help expand and support its design portfolio and engineering team. What you'll do
- Perform structural analysis, calculations, and evaluation of project data using independent engineering judgment
- Collaborate directly with licensed and unlicensed engineers, designers, and technical staff
- Prepare and assemble engineering reports and technical documentation
- Develop and complete structural design documents
- Conduct site observations and support field-related project activities
- Contribute to a variety of structural engineering projects from analysis through design and documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience required
- Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structural design
- Proficiency with RISA-3D, RAM Structural System, or similar structural analysis and design software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team
