Overview

A premier health organization in the Finger Lakes region is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist to join its supportive outpatient therapy team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver hands-on, clinic-based rehabilitation care to a diverse patient population, guiding them through their full recovery journey in an orthopedic and general outpatient setting.

What you'll do

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Administer therapeutic treatments including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to meet rehabilitation goals
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies and industry standards
• Provide patient education to support long-term recovery and injury prevention
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment in accordance with infection control and safety guidelines

Required qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at the time of hire
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational/time-management skills
• Ability to deliver compassionate care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance; requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving patients during treatment sessions
• Physical Therapists on an F1 student visa with OPT work authorization are encouraged to apply and will be considered

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred
• Interest in pelvic health is a plus (two openings available)
