Overview

A well-established health system in the Finger Lakes region is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join its clinic-based rehabilitation team. This role offers a more medically focused rehab environment, working with patients who require a higher level of care and close collaboration with a broader clinical team, and provides a direct-hire opportunity with relocation assistance.

What you'll do

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Administer therapeutic treatments including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention to support long-term recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies and industry standards
• Provide patient education to empower individuals in managing their rehabilitation and preventing future injuries
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines

Required qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at the time of hire
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and team members
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving patients during treatment sessions

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred
