Overview
A manufacturer specializing in advanced HVAC technology is seeking an HVAC Systems Engineer to help design next-generation thermal solutions. This role focuses on improving energy efficiency and performance through innovative system design, and plays a key part in advancing the company's competitive edge in HVAC technology.
What you'll do
- Design HVAC systems using advanced simulation tools to optimize component integration
- Validate HVAC systems and equipment by comparing simulation results with commissioning data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring new products to market
- Drive continuous improvements in HVAC technology to maintain competitive advantage
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, AHRI, and UL Standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC system development
- Proficiency in advanced simulation tools such as the Oak Ridge Labs Heat Pump Design Model (HPDM)
- Strong understanding of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics
- Experience in developing control algorithms and working with OEMs/ODMs
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with high-efficiency heat pump systems and advanced HVAC components
- Background with a leading HVAC system manufacturer is advantageous
