Sr Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer

Location: Cambridge, MA | Schedule: full-time, hybrid (three days a week in office)
Overview
An employee-owned architecture and engineering firm that designs the buildings it engineers is seeking a senior plumbing and fire protection engineer to lead their own projects and mentor less experienced staff. The work spans labs, data centers, schools and universities, and offices in and around Boston, offering the chance to see projects through from concept to construction.
What you'll do
- Design domestic water, sanitary and waste, storm, and gas systems, along with sprinkler and standpipe systems
- Produce full construction documents in Revit and coordinate them in the model with other disciplines
- Handle code and AHJ review
- Stay on through construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site visits
- Mentor and train junior staff
- Work directly with clients
Required qualifications
- 8 to 12 years of plumbing and fire protection design experience at a consulting engineering or A/E firm
- Experience in Revit
- A bachelor's in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in the discipline
