Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Overview
A major player in the heavy mobile equipment industry, with a growing division and strong production demand, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This role serves as the critical link between design engineering and the production floor, bringing new products and process changes to life while maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughput. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
What you'll do
- Plan, support, and lead the introduction of new products to the manufacturing floor
- Manage integration of new products into existing lines, understanding impacts on line balance, pFMEA, and efficiency
- Lead setup of assembly lines, establishing processes and documentation from design hand-off to completion
- Lead development of Operation Method Sheets detailing optimal assembly methods
- Apply advanced Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts to reduce waste in manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot production line problems
- Lead initiatives to mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs
- Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line/cell layout, tooling, and part flow
- Prepare capital equipment justifications
- Advance safety and ergonomic practices
Required qualifications
- BS Engineering
- 5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient computer skills including 2D & 3D CAD, Word, Excel, and Access
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
- No visa sponsorship available for this position
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree a plus
- Experience with Siemens NX would be great
- 3D Printing experience would be a plus
