Overview

An established public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its team in a hybrid work environment. This role is central to delivering complex audit and assurance services, working closely with experienced professionals to strengthen client systems and operations.

What you'll do

• Lead and execute diverse accounting and auditing assignments with minimal supervision
• Guide and mentor staff accountants, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to professional standards
• Prepare comprehensive workpapers and financial statements in compliance with GAAP or OCBOA
• Participate in planning and scheduling client engagements, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
• Provide recommendations for improving client internal controls and operational procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients to facilitate seamless, minimally disruptive engagements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• 3-4 years of progressive experience in public accounting
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred qualifications

• CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software, including CCH Engagement, Creative Solutions Fixed Assets, PPC Checkpoint Tools, and QuickBooks is advantageous
