Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (multiple locations available) | Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8-5 PM or 4-day/10-hour shift available | Compensation: $131,000 – $170,000 annually (based on experience)

Overview

A community health center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive primary care services to diverse and underserved populations, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as appropriate
• Initiate emergency procedures when clinically indicated
• Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Required qualifications

• Active California Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA board certification
• Current DEA certification
• Current BLS certification
• Strong commitment to serving low-income, homeless, or medically underserved communities

Preferred qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in community health or underserved populations
• Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred

Compensation and benefits

• Compensation: $131,000 – $170,000 annually (based on experience)
