Overview

A prominent international law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly experienced team handling complex labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff employment claims, with significant responsibility, client engagement, and long-term career growth potential.

What you'll do

  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters
  • Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
  • Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and preparation of discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research on wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff employment claims, and related statutory frameworks
  • Assist with case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation planning in collaboration with senior attorneys
  • Support clients across a range of industries on complex employment-related litigation matters

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 3-5 years of substantive litigation experience with wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff employment claims
  • Arbitration, mediation, or trial experience is required
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills, along with a collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality client service

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with FEHA, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, as well as whistleblower matters, is preferred

Compensation and benefits

  • Expected annual salary range of $260,000-$365,000, as determined by experience and market factors
