Overview
An established hospital system with comprehensive care and advanced medical services is seeking Internal Medicine physicians to join its inpatient team as a Hospitalist Nocturnist. This role is key to providing round-the-clock care for unassigned patients within a well-supported, multidisciplinary hospital environment recognized for its trauma and stroke care capabilities.
What you'll do
- Provide care for unassigned patients presenting to the Emergency Department requiring inpatient treatment
- Admit and collaborate with intensivists for critical care patients, with no procedural requirements
- Manage patients within a Clinical Decision Unit and support inpatient consultations
- Work alongside 24/7 pulmonary and critical care support, with round-the-clock access to subspecialty expertise
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams in a robust inpatient medical service
- Work a minimum of 12 shifts per month with flexible scheduling
- No on-call duties required
Required qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Possession of or eligibility for an Alabama Medical License
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
Preferred qualifications
- Previous hospitalist experience preferred; new graduates are also welcome to apply
