Overview

A premier law firm is seeking a Career Associate Attorney to join its Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. This is an opportunity to work with a high-performing litigation team representing leading financial institutions and service providers in complex business and commercial disputes.

What you'll do

  • Independently handle a broad range of consumer financial services litigation, including commercial disputes and matters involving federal and state consumer protection laws
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, motions practice, and other proceedings across state and federal courts
  • Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance, communicate case strategy and developments, and support clients responding to government and agency investigations
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and related litigation documents
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on high-impact matters within a collaborative, nationally coordinated team

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases, lead projects, and supervise junior team members
  • Strong writing ability, analytical skills, and professional judgment
  • Excellent research, communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with commercial litigation and the representation of financial institutions is strongly preferred
  • Background defending matters under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and/or the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is highly advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, nationally integrated practice

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive salary: $175,000 – $250,000, based on experience and market factors
