Overview
A manufacturing company is hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for 2nd Shift (3 PM - 11 PM), a Full-Time, Direct Placement position based in Springfield, MA.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines (3, 4, and 5-Axis) according to blueprint specifications
- Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot controllers, machines, and processes
- Select appropriate tools and set feeds and speeds to meet production requirements
- Perform inspections of machined parts using precision hand tools to ensure quality standards
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity
- Lift up to 70 lbs. as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and machinery
- Monitor inventory and reorder tools as necessary
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8-10 years of CNC Machining (Lathe) experience in 3 & 4-Axis lathe setup and operation
- Strong background in 5-Axis machining
- Aerospace background preferred
Compensation and benefits
- Pay Scale: $25 - $32/hr ($25,000 - $32,000)
