Overview
A global, top-ranked law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its nationally recognized Accounting Defense practice group. The role offers the chance to work alongside leading practitioners representing premier accounting firms, public company issuers, and directors and officers in complex, high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and regulatory enforcement matters nationwide.
What you'll do
- Represent clients in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and regulatory enforcement proceedings
- Assist in matters before the SEC, PCAOB, DOJ, and other regulatory bodies
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and client memoranda
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and factual analysis in support of complex disputes
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategy and litigation positioning
- Interact with opposing counsel, experts, regulators, and other stakeholders as matters progress
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
- 3-5 years of substantive litigation experience
- Hands-on experience in complex litigation, arbitration, or regulatory enforcement matters
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage complex matters, balance competing priorities, and work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to matters involving accounting firms, public companies, or financial institutions is a plus
- Elite or large law firm experience strongly preferred
