Overview

A prestigious national law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its established Real Estate Finance Practice Group. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded national finance team with experience handling real estate finance transactions across all 50 states, offering exposure to complex structured real estate finance matters, construction lending, preferred equity investments, and distressed commercial real estate transactions.

What you'll do

  • Represent lenders, capital providers, and borrowers in complex real estate finance transactions
  • Structure, negotiate, and document construction loans, mortgage financings, preferred equity investments, and other real estate-related financing arrangements
  • Advise clients on sophisticated debt, debt-like, and equity investment structures involving commercial real estate assets
  • Handle multi-tiered capital transactions and structured real estate finance matters
  • Assist with distressed commercial real estate transactions and related financing matters
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients throughout all phases of transactions
  • Maintain significant client contact while managing multiple matters in a fast-paced practice environment

Required qualifications

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 2-5 years of substantive experience in real estate finance transactions
  • Extensive experience with a wide range of debt, debt-like, and equity transactions secured by or invested in real estate projects
  • Particular experience with construction financing and multi-tiered capital transactions
  • Experience representing lenders, capital providers, borrowers, or a combination thereof
  • Excellent attention to detail, sound business judgment, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional legal research, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to superior client service, with interest in direct client contact and business development opportunities

Compensation and benefits

  • Expected annual salary range of $205,000 – $275,000, commensurate with experience and market conditions
